Andrea Z. Chavez graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She continued her education at Fordham University where she received her Masters of Science in Cybersecurity. She is one of the 66 final recipients of this year’s Security Training Scholarship provided by WiCyS, SANS, Google, Meta, Bloomberg and Craig Newmark Philanthropies. She currently serves as the affiliate secretary of WiCyS - NY Metro Chapter. Her future plans include pursuing her doctorate degree, opening her own organization with the aim of advancing Latinas in the field of Cybersecurity and officially publishing two books which she is currently working on. She is a proud member of Women Who Code since 2018 and is currently serving as a general volunteer of Women Who Code - Python Track.
